WZ Commercial Warehouse Driver (Part-time/Seasonal)

Role Profile:

This is an ideal opportunity for you to join our busy warehouse team for the summer period.  Reporting to the Commercial Warehouse Manager you will be a part of a team involved in delivering and collecting goods to and from Whipsnade Zoo and London Zoo. A good level of physical fitness is required and the ability to work in and outdoors.

The Commercial Warehouse Driver will assist the team in delivering goods in our 3.5 tonne van They will ensure that their productivity achieves the levels as set out by the Warehouse Manager. The ZSL Commercial Warehouse Driver will support the Warehouse team in the safe delivery and collection of goods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the the daily maintenance (including paperwork) of the warehouse 3.5 tonne boxvan
  • Secure storing /loading /unloading of cages
  • Responsible for the refuelling of the warehouse van
  • Safe delivery to London Zoo & Whipsnade Zoo stockrooms / retail outlets
  • Cleanliness of the warehouse van

Person Specification:

  • You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English
  • Full valid UK driving Licence with no disqualifications for careless or drink driving
  • The position requires flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team

Please note: This role will be on a seasonal basis for a temporary period of approximately 1-3 months. We envisage that the work will be Monday to Friday, 3-5 hours per day, some days longer than others, with an hourly rate of £7.68.
