A bustling Parisian brasserie offering exceptional value and traditional French food in a historic Art Deco setting. The building also plays host to the ZL Cafe, Bar Americain and The Crazy Coqs.
Sous Chef - The Role:
- Leading the kitchen team during busy 500 + covers
- Cooking classic brasserie style French cuisine to a Bib Gourmand standard
- Ensuring that all Corbin & King standards are adhered to throughout
- All aspects of kitchen management to include ordering, stock control, people management and development
- As an HOD being an integral part of the wider management team
- An average of a 50 hour week, this will entail a mixture of shifts over the week
The Person:
- Previous managerial experience as a Sous Chef within in a high volume quality restaurant environment
- Proven track record of leadership and team development, or for the right candidate, a strong appetite to develop and hone those skills
- The ability to maintain good working relations with all other departments
- A passion for hospitality and a desire to anticipate & exceed guest expectations
- A desire to embrace and promote a people driven culture within the C&K ethos
- Previous exposure to back office procedures, and support functions including human resources, health and safety and finance will be beneficial, though not necessary
- Has knowledge and an interest in classical techniques and brasserie style cuisine
