Sous Chef - Sherwood St, London

A bustling Parisian brasserie offering exceptional value and traditional French food in a historic Art Deco setting. The building also plays host to the ZL Cafe, Bar Americain and The Crazy Coqs. 

Sous Chef - The Role:

  • Leading the kitchen team during busy 500 + covers
  • Cooking classic brasserie style French cuisine to a Bib Gourmand standard
  • Ensuring that all Corbin & King standards are adhered to throughout
  • All aspects of kitchen management to include ordering, stock control, people management and development
  • As an HOD being an integral part of the wider management team
  • An average of a 50 hour week, this will entail a mixture of shifts over the week

The Person:

  • Previous managerial experience as a Sous Chef within in a high volume quality restaurant environment
  • Proven track record of leadership and team development, or for the right candidate, a strong appetite to develop and hone those skills
  • The ability to maintain good working relations with all other departments
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to anticipate & exceed guest expectations
  • A desire to embrace and promote a people driven culture within the C&K ethos
  • Previous exposure to back office procedures, and support functions including human resources, health and safety and finance will be beneficial, though not necessary
  • Has knowledge and an interest in classical techniques and brasserie style cuisine
