A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Deputy Manager.

As a Deputy Manager, you'll be responsible for helping the Hostel manager to effectively manage the Hostel to achieve and exceed current KPI's and customer satisfaction levels by:

  • Ensuring excellent customer service is maintained at all times
  • Achieving 5 star standards of cleanliness
  • Drive and promote sales
  • Managing, developing and motivating all employees
  • Identify areas for improvement to the overall products and service within the hostel
  • Proactively reviewing and responding to customer feedback
  • Deputise in the absence of the manager and provide support to other hostel functions where necessary

In order to be a great Deputy Manager we are looking for people who:

  • Demonstrate previous experience within the hospitality industry / hotel industry
  • Have proven ability or are able to demonstrate the management of teams within a similar environment
  • Show evidence of managing, developing and motivating others
  • Ability to manage high-pressured environment
  • Show a good understanding of YHA's culture and values
  • Put the customer at the heart of everything you do
