We are seeking a Senior ICT Infrastructure Network Engineer to provide 3rd line support for all business critical systems and infrastructure.

The Key Role Responsibilities for our Senior ICT Infrastructure Network Engineer include:

  • Working alongside the Lead ICT Infrastructure Network Engineer to design, develop and implement new and existing systems and infrastructure
  • Responsibility for the design and development of the centralised system for our hostels and contact centre (this supports up to 1000 users and their business critical applications)
  • Responsibility for network security and configuration of Cisco firewalls
  • Develop and implement company policies concerning security & maintenance within YHA
  • Administer and maintain systems including, but not limited to; Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, the Centralised ASSD infrastructure, Exchange, Azure, MFA, Office 365, Mimecast, GFI Webmonitor and Veam Oneview Network reporting software Mimecast.

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior ICT Infrastructure Network Engineer would be:

  • Qualified to degree or diploma level in an ICT or software subject.
  • Proven experience of delivering and maintaining server, storage and virtual technologies, preferably HP ProLiant, HPE  3PAR, VMWare 6.5.
  • High skillset in scripting and Powershell desirable.
  • Proven experience of implementing and designing an RDS Environment.
  • Experience of user personalisation technologies, preferably Appsense.
  • Excellent proven networking skills, including Cisco ASA’s, Cisco Meraki, HP Procurve, VPN and VLAN’s.
  • Proven experience of IT security (Antivirus, email and web content filtering).
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge by producing clear, concise end-user system documentation, and deliver sessions and on the job training, for both end users, and technical team members.
  • Experience of project management and working in cross disciplinary teams. Good Working knowledge of MS Teams.
  • Proven ability to understand and analyse complex technical processes and provide detailed solutions.
  • Experience of working with compliance standards (GDPR and PCI-DSS)
  • Full UK Driving License

It is important to understand the successful candidate for the role of Senior ICT Infrastructure Network Engineer may need to travel to any part of the YHA network and to supplier’s premises. Some occasional weekend or out of hours work will be required along with overnight stays.  This role will also require the successful candidate to be able to provide Out of Hours support as required (on a rotational basis).
