Lead Kitchen (Head Chef) Chef - East Grinstead Sports Club
Reporting to: Site Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week including Evening and Weekends
Salary: £19,500 per annum
We have an excellent opportunity available for a brand new role of Lead Kitchen (Head) Chef.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our business at an exciting time of development and make your mark. As Lead Kitchen (Head) Chef you will use your skills to deliver quality fresh food to the highest standards, whilst observing all Health and Safety Hygiene Regulations.
In this hands-on position you will have responsibility for the daily operation of food production, ordering and stock control, you’ll be in charge of the part time kitchen staff and have the skills to create a delicious but simple Specials menu.
To be our next Lead Kitchen (Head) Chef you will need to have: ·
- A real passion for food
- Initiative, positive and a flexible, pro-active attitude
- Sound experience of all sections of the kitchen
- Experience in implementing and maintain the required Kitchen standards
- Proven planning and organization skills
- Experience of budgeting, menu planning and development
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in recruitment and managing staffing levels
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced busy kitchen
- Knowledge of Conference and Banqueting

Wave Leisure manage East Grinstead Sports Club Limited (the Charity). It is a not for profit charity established to provide sporting facilities for the community of East Grinstead and the surrounding area. The Charity owns a multi-sport, fitness and social facility (‘EGSC’), which is the home to over twenty sports clubs and organisations, and is used by locals and visitors of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Person Specification:
You may currently be a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or even a Commis Chef but ready for a challenge and looking to move into a more senior role. We’re looking for someone that is looking to grow, develop their talents and progress their career.
