Do you have experience of leading & operating in a multi-site leisure, hospitality or retail environment? Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to work in a globally recognised brand?

We’re looking for 3 Regional Director’s (RD’s) to join our Operations Team and lead a team of General Managers to deliver world class performance and execute the Virgin Active strategy.

Your job:

Reporting into the UK Operations Director, the main responsibilities of the Regional Directors are to:

  • Provide exceptional team leadership & results in the region, leading by example and with integrity
  • Create high performing teams, where people are the focus and career development is key
  • Create a culture of great service, safety and standards in all clubs to ensure we are loved by our customers
  • Ensure that all clubs in the region are in complete compliance with Brand standards processes and Health & Safety protocols and ways of working
  • Develop and implement well defined strategies to improve profitability at each club that are in sync with the company’s defined objectives and execute with clarity of direction, communication, pace and consistency
  • Develop a high performance experience culture that ensures consistent excellence in all we do
  • Continual communication with the General Managers and Support teams to ensure that priorities for revenue management, marketing, cost controls, team leadership, safety, policy compliance, team development, customer service quality and other operational facets are attended to daily
  • Create a service culture where the customer is central to all decisions
  • Embrace the voice, attitude, values and integrity of the Virgin Active Brand and keep up to date on emerging industry trends & changes that affect the customer experience

Your commitment: 
We have 3 Regional Director Positions available, looking after a number of our clubs across the estate – the Regional splits are TBC. This is a full time role, where travel & flexibility are required.

To be successful as a Regional Director, you’ll have/be:

  • Evidenced track record of balanced execution and delivery within people, members & shareholders
  • Good knowledge & passion for our proposition and range of products and Virgin Active, it’s culture and what it stands for in the market place
  • Broad and deep experience of leading and coaching other senior managers with the ability to inspire & motivate to achieve targets & meticulous standards
  • Strong commercial skills including demonstrable previous experience of interpreting financial statements and managing a P&L combined with strong operational understanding of what’s involved in managing a health club.
