Located in Newbury, Berkshire, just off junction 13 on the M4 and 55 minutes away from London by train, The Vineyard is a 5 red star hotel. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen, to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, working 45 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, as a 365 day business you may be required to work evenings/weekends/bank holidays.

We are looking for a dedicated and hard working individual who possesses experience in preparing fine dining restaurants. Rosette/Michelin experience would be preferable. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team.

Summary of role:
To assist and enable other employees to consistently achieve product and service standards, thus ensuring a high level of client care and satisfaction from a profitable operation.

Main responsibilities:
1. To assist and enable other employees to consistently achieve product and service standards, thus ensuring a high level of client care and satisfaction from a profitable operation.
2. To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages a team to have pride in their working environment to a high level of commitment.
3. To control, with aid of the Head Chef, all the operating costs within all the food outlets to the agreed budgets.
4. Carry out quality training, adopting a clear systematic approach to meet the business needs of The Vineyard at Stockcross.
5. Have a flexible response to business and client needs and to give full co-operation to a colleague requiring assistance in a prompt, caring and helpful manner.
6. To take part in any daily briefings and attend any hotel meeting when required.
7. To comply with the statutory requirements for fire, health and safety, licensing and employment law and to ensure that other team members are also aware of these requirements and are working in accordance to them.
8. Carry out any reasonable request set out by the Head Chef and Sous chefs.
9. To adhere to all regulations set out by the Vineyard Company manual and kitchen manual.
10. To abide by Health and Safety Regulations as required by Law.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate experience in a similar level position and two Rosettes, as well as an aptitude for leadership.  Those candidates with skills in preparing fine dining or deluxe hotel dining will be at a particular advantage.  Ideal candidates will have previous experience from a 4/5* Hotel environment.
