Head Receptionist & Event Coordinator is a dual role which will involve working both as Head Receptionist, whilst also taking responsibility for all Private Dining and Group Events. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking person to be the face of Tom’s Kitchen Canary Wharf. The ideal candidate will have the ability to confidently deliver exceptional service at all times whilst building a fantastic rapport with our guests. You will work closely with the management team to maximise & manage restaurant reservations and private dining bookings, ensuring the continued success of the restaurant.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in managing private dining & events in a high-end restaurant
  • Thorough knowledge of Open Table system
  • Fluent English
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work late nights and weekends.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about food and beverage
  • Confident, professional and committed to providing excellent service to all customers
  • Able to work under pressure
  • A consistently positive attitude
  • To have a high standard of personal presentation, to adhere to the correct dress code and to be punctual at all times.
  • Self-motivated to continue to develop skills and experience

Reception & Events Duties

To be the first point of contact for all Tom’s Kitchen clientele, using excellent customer service skills and ensuring guests are dealt with in a polite, pleasant and professional manner at all times.

To manage all reservations and private dining bookings for the restaurant, from initial enquiry through to follow up, maintaining repeat & creating new business.  
To work towards monthly sales targets to ensure year on year growth of private dining.

To lead a weekly Events Meeting to ensure that all detail is communicated to a large operations team.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

To support the annual sales and marketing strategy of restaurant, being aware of and driving all marketing activities and key dates throughout the year to maximise business.
