As Sous Chef, you will be enthusiastic in working with a team of dedicated and passionate chefs in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.  The menu is seasonal and the standards are high. 

As Sous chef you main role will be to assist the head chef to:

  • Achieve and exceed food GP set by the budget
  • Ensure that all dishes are to company specifications.
  • Stocktaking and food invoicing on a weekly basis 
  • Systems Compliance, write and load rotas every week.
  • Train the staff on dish specification. 
  • Manage online rota systems. 
  • Keeps within budgets set for food ordering and all stock must be secure at all time.
  • Monitors & controls stock levels – daily, weekly and monthly ensure that any shortfall is explained.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic, making sure cleaning rotas are adhered to and records kept
  • Ensure the kitchen uniform and personal hygiene requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly on a daily basis
  • Promote a positive perception of the company at all times both internally & externally
  • Attend company and in house meetings as requested

What we are looking for in order to be considered for the role:

  • Previous similar experience in similar high volume restaurant as Sous Chef
  • Willingness to learn and develop alongside the team
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications.
