Bartender - Tom's Kitchen London

All Tom’s Kitchens are buzzy and friendly, informed yet informal, we always provide a warm welcome and make sure our guests leave with and smile and wanting to return.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to help us make this happen. As Tom Aikens says: “Without a good team, we are nothing”.

As bartender, we are looking for a passionate and bubbly person who can confidently deliver exceptional service to our guests.

You will have a real pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build rapport and long term relationships with our guests. You will work closely with the management team to maximise service delivery opportunities and in turn, ensure the continued success of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a big personality and be really enjoying a lively evening venue.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as cocktail bartender in a similar fast paced environment.
  • Availability to work late nights and weekends
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about spirits, wine and cocktails (WSET qualifications a plus)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of cocktail makingto include Champagne, Classic, modern, Shooters, Sours, Martini’s Daiquiri’s
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Confident, professional who is committed to providing excellent service to all customers
  • Good communicator
  • Able to work under pressure and multi task particularly during peak hours and extended period increased business.

General Duties

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Ensure that bar is stocked to par levels at allocated times
  • Ensure consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality
  • Ensure order of bar and cleanliness in accordance to health and safety regulations
  • Assist and direct waiting staff
  • To provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
  • To maintain company standards at all times
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Carry out any reasonable request made by Management
  • Report to work on time and on a regular basis
  • Attend all training as requested, whether in-house or with an external provider
  • Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested
  • Work in a clean, efficient manner at all time
