Maintenance Manager - Southrop

We are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with proven hotel experience, to oversee the maintenance of our 5* hotel. Thyme is set on a 150 acre country estate with 15 bedrooms (soon to be 31), our own pub, a spa, cookery school, events space and gardens. We are an expanding business and we are looking for someone hands on, practical, knowledgeable and happy to turn their hand to a number of tasks. We have a small team currently, so managing your time well and being a good team player is essential. We will require the Manager to organise the maintenance team to provide cover 7 days a week.

The Role:

  • Understanding of facilities and building management, maintenance & provision of services, supported by relevant professional qualification (or equivalent level of vocational experience).
  • Good knowledge and experience of Health and Safety, Emergency Procedures, Fire and Security procedures and legislation
  • Managing all faults and repairs as needed
  • Implementing a through maintenance and snagging program and using the current maintenance app to monitor and complete work.
  • Knowledge of heating, plumbing and electrical systems and their maintenance (we have a number of biomass boilers)
  • Experience of records management and information systems and IT Skills (Office).
  • To organise the maintenance team to provide cover 7 days a week.

  • Have previous Maintenance Manager experience (hospitality ideally).
