Head Chef - Stamford, Lincolnshire

Hours: 48 Hour

Salary: The on-target earning potential for this role is £40,000 annual/salary – comprising a base salary of £35,000, plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in Tronc. 

Due to the launch of our new neighbourhood bistro, we are now on the search for an enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join us at The William Cecil as Head chef reporting to our Executive Chef.

As Head Chef you will support the Executive chef to achieve and exceed agreed targets of profit, revenue and customer satisfaction through effective management, employee assessment and continuous training in line with Standards of Service and brand standards.

Some of your key responsibilities?

  • Develop a close working relationship with all managers and colleagues to ensure all guest expectations are met. 
  • Support and lead the kitchen to create a team environment which promotes good morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride. 
  • Attend communication meetings ensuring that information is shared with the kitchen team. 
  • Ensure the company’s menu policy is adhered to at all times. 
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates effectively on a daily basis. 
  • Consistently deliver exceptionally high standards of food service. 
  • Drive innovation and create a culture of menu development

What we’re looking for…

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar Head Chef role in a busy, bustling environment with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority 
  • Proven track record managing kitchen teams 
  • A true passion for creativity whilst maintaining the integrity of our brand standards through the dishes on the menu 
  • A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and create an environment where your team can be their best self. 
  • Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.  You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
