Opening in July 2019, The Standard, London will boldly propel The Standard brand onto the international stage. Situated on Euston Road across from the gothic grandeur of St Pancras Station, the hotel is set to become a new cultural crossroad for London and a gateway to Europe.The hotel playfully respects the building's history while creating new expansive spaces for the neighbourhood to play from our bars, lounges and restaurants throughout the building to the 266 rooms and suites.

Our Restaurants and Bars in New York, LA and Miami are legendary. In addition to the ground floor outlets the top floor of the Standard London will feature a stand-alone destination restaurant headed by award winning chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias. Set to open in the Autumn of 2019; guests will arrive in ever-playful Standard Style as they board the iconic bright red exterior lift cab at the street level before being whisked directly to the top floor. The Restaurant features two separate bar areas, main restaurant which showcases live fire cooking and two semi private dining spaces and roof terraces with commanding 360-degree views of London.

We are now seeking a team of diverse and dynamic individuals that will capture the very essence of the Standard London to join our team as a Chef de Partie for the launch of this new London destination.

Your role

As a Chef de Partie at The Standard you will become part of an exceptional pre-opening culinary and kitchen team that will provide an extensive food service across our new rooftop bars, restaurant and roof terraces. You will of course be passionate about cooking, with an exceptional working knowledge of kitchen operations and order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality food and proven knowledge of production and cooking techniques.

Finally, your extensive knowledge of the latest food trends and London restaurant scene will help you create an environment where you will not only delight our guest, but also excite and surprise them to create the ultimate culinary experience in London, that is anything but Standard!

At the heart of our hotels are of course our people who through their vibrancy and energy bring our properties to life. You will of course be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant operations and order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality food and wines in order to confidently match and suggest wines to compliment guest menu choices and enhancing their overall dining experience.

Do you have what it takes to be a Chef de Partie at The Standard, London

While prior experience as a Chef de Partie is always useful, your individuality is your most important asset. While we take every detail of design and guest experience seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously. ‘Standard People’ are at the heart of our brand; vivid, dynamic and engaging and you too will add a touch of your own personality and theatre to our guest experience while at the Standard.With this in mind you will need to be upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and can manage multiple tasks with ease. In addition to this you will also need…

·Prior experience as a Chef De Partie or Demi Chef with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination fine dining restaurant or perhaps even a well know quality chain

·Be a confident in Kitchen operations and the order of service

·Highly motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions

·Opening experience preferred

·A relevant culinary qualification to a minimum of level 2 professional cookery and food hygiene certificate is required for these roles

·You will need to have a flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work shifts, including weekends and nights as a number of our bars and restaurants will operate late night licences.
