About the Role:

We are currently looking for a guest focused and committed Assistant Restaurant Manager, who, along with the Restaurant Manager, will ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently, and will ensure service standards and staff motivation are maintained and are continually improving.

You’ll be involved with everything from training to auditing, stock control to recruitment. You will be an excellent leader, and able to manage a team effectively whilst ensuring the best F&B experience for our guests.

Duties:

  • To strive to increase sales and profit, and provide consistent quality service to our guests and diners
  • Conduct meetings to inform staff or special promotions, daily specials, and any additional relevant information
  • To maintain effective communication with the department and Food & Beverage team in regard to the activities of the department, hotel, and Food & Beverage operation
  • Prepare shift schedules
  • To participate in F&B meetings as well as other hotel meetings when required
  • To develop and positively promote sales awareness within the Restaurant to maximise opportunities
  • To deliver quality training and coaching in a systematic and professional way to ensure consistent delivery of the product and service standards
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and certified, if applicable, and have the tools and equipment to effectively carry out their job functions
  • Conduct departmental meetings to discuss issues, concerns and upcoming events
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
  • Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings)
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Be a role model for all employees by demonstrating behaviours and work ethic expected of the management team.

Requirements:

  • Must be very service orientated with immaculate attention to detail
  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Communication and team management abilities
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
