The Role:

The Game Bird is a contemporary tale about relaxed informal dining at any time of the day. A place to eat, drink and socialise, the focus is on modern British comfort cooking executed with style and panache. Dedicated to following the seasons and supporting local artisans including award-winning family owned farms, Executive Chef, James Durrant has created a ‘theatre of the senses’ menu based on uncomplicated excellence, where local, seasonal produce sits alongside time honoured British classics.

We are seeking energetic, guest orientated individuals, passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences. Successful candidates will be organised, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team.

The Host will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the hosting of our guests
  • Delivering a five star luxury lifestyle guest service experiences for guests.
  • Greet guests politely and in a timely fashion
  • You will be responsible for seating and helping guests with coats and luggage
  • Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance..
  • Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Monitor dining rooms and table plan for seating availability, service, and well-being of guests.
  • Cashiering and payment taking using PDQ and Epos systems
  • Liaise with kitchen and managers to provide a smooth service.
  • Communicating allergies and special occasions to relevant people
