The Role: Events Coordinator

Selling of the hotel’s private dining, meetings, social events and restaurant bookings

  • Proactive, qualified sales calls to new and existing business (Corporate, Leisure, MICE and partner marketing)
  • Supporting the team with administrative duties and tasks
  • Generate proper proposals and contracts. Follow up on sent out proposals to ensure the client has received the information and to clarify possible questions and issues
  • Handle enquiries until conversion to definite bookings including negotiation, contracting, and site inspection
  • Conduct exit interview with important customer after their event – asking for future business
  • Conduct regular competition check
  • Proper maintenance of lost / cancelled and unconfirmed business
  • Completion of month end reports
  • Attend weekly Food & Beverage Meeting and Function Sheet meeting
  • Direct receipt, qualification and coordination of event & group requests (incl. leads, RFPs, etc.)
  • Ensure the ideal and most effective utilisation of the meeting and conference rooms
  • Carry out site inspections with potential MICE, Corporate, Leisure clients in coordination with the Sales department
  • Realise up sell possibilities to meet and surpass budget goals
  • To liaise and work closely other departments for increased exposure and promotion
