Front of House
Reception - The front desk at THE PIG hotel group is essentially the hub of the hotel, being the first and last face our restaurant and hotel guests see. First impressions are everything and we want our guests to have the best first impression possible.
We strive for all our Reception team to be the best they can be, with support from the whole team. Our Reception team is made up of hard-working individuals who have the attention to detail and are genuinely happy people. Communication is key within the Reception team, maintaining constant channels of communication with all departments in the hotel.
Food & Beverage - Our friendly Food & Beverage team is fast paced and lots of fun, however we do have some serious times where it can get busy. We aim to keep a happy atmosphere with lots of laughter and some tears (happy ones of course). We encourage everyone to be the best they can be, offering craft training on anything you need to know.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
Each and every housekeeper or maintenance engineer are equally important as the next. We want someone who is dedicated and willing to learn to join us. It’s not just about making beds it’s about having an eye for detail in all aspects from walking to the linen cupboard or completing any guest wishes, everything has to be perfect for us.
Our Housekeeping and maintenance teams work closely with the front desk so communication is key. The maintenance team will also work closely with any external contractors on refurbishment projects. Full training in all areas of operation will be given as will the option to progress into senior roles or other departments if you wish.
The aim is to grow as much produce on site as possible for use in the kitchens, the garden also acts as a show garden for our guests. We aim to use as many parts of the plants as possible and our Garden team ensure there is always plenty of variety for the chefs to use 365 days per year.
The team is made up of two parts; the kitchen garden team are solely responsible for the productive garden spaces; whereas, the grounds teams tend to look after the lawns, trees, and maintenance of any formal borders. The team however works together on all projects and events supporting each other in all that we do.
When you think of a chef’s role, what comes to mind? Long hours in a hot kitchen, shouting, swearing and high stress? Well that’s not what it’s like being a chef at the PIG. Fancy getting away from the big cities and back to the country!
Through a variety of shift patterns whether you have a family or hobbies, we aim to provide a work life balance. Chefs work early and late shifts and some kitchens operate a 4 day on 3 day off rota.
Everyone loves a Potting Shed to hide in, but in our shed guests can also have a great massage. Each PIG hotel has its own totally unique single treatment rooms built in the grounds in converted Potting Sheds.
Collecting your client and walking them through the beautiful kitchen gardens sets the scene to make use of the Bamford, naturally inspired, products used in all our hotels. As part of this team you will play a key role in making our guests experience one to remember.
