Taking over the City’s disused Midland Bank Building, Soho House & Co. and New York’s Sydell Group have collaborated to restore the beautiful Grade I listed building. Hosting 9 restaurants, bars, a member’s club, Barber & Parlour, Ned’s Club Active & Relax, two swimming pools, along with six dedicated event spaces.

The Role

As Laundry and Uniform Manager, you will assist with the management of the hotel’s uniform store, ensuring our team’s appearance is flawless in keeping with The Ned’s history and hallmarks of exceptional quality and style. Taking pride and ownership in all requests, you will issue, alter and repair uniforms in an efficient, precise and friendly manner. You will be proactive in ensuring that new and replacement uniforms are ordered for colleagues as required and in a timely manner.

What are we looking for:
• Experience in inspecting and styling all assigned VIP rooms and Public Areas for accuracy and consistency as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Mathematical skills are necessary to control and forecast the departmental expenses as per Budget, to oversee the payroll cost, preparing Profit & Loss statements and support in the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
• Hands-on, enthusiastic and self-motivated are words that describes you best.
• Experience in training a large team in an energetic and positive manner to the department cleanliness standards and style, Health & Safety, COSHH.
• Working closely with the People & Development team on recruiting new talents and all other team performance compliances.
• Thinking outside the box and presenting new innovative ideas as part of the departmental development success.
• Must have the ability to lead, multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced and most desirable hotel in London.
• Practice in managing a smooth-running operation and team. Rota, orders, payroll, inventory, holiday, trainings, liaising with external partners and contractors, development, internal promotions.
• Scheduling and reporting specialised cleaning, maintenance requirements according to VIP arrivals, events and occupancy.
• IT skills such as using Opera, office system and touchscreen devices.
• Efficiently communicate with the teams from Front Office and Maintenance with a patient attitude.
