We know the industry is exciting, fun and hard work with different challenges yesterday. We’ve built up benefits that we hope you and your family can enjoy, here’s a few of our current ones. NB: Benefits are non-contractual and may vary or be withdraw.
Group Personal Pension Scheme
The Group Personal Pension Scheme is one of the most important and valuable benefits offered by The Hotel Collection. Joining the Group Personal Pension Scheme will not only provide you with a pension when you retire, but it will also give your family a secure future if anything should happen to you whilst you are working for the Company.
If you introduce any new (previously unidentified) business worth over £200 ex VAT, which converts into a sale, we will pay you 5% commission on the initial booking value. The business can be identified as one accommodation booking or one event booking and does not include any business generated by your immediate family as this is eligible at a discounted rate.
Once you’re part of our team, you’ll realise you’ll know someone from your past or a friend who is brimming with enthusiasm and talent who is on the lookout for a new career? Maybe we have the job for them. For anyone that you refer who is then recruited into a permanent contracted position, after they have successfully completed their first three months, we will pay you £200.
When you work for The Hotel Collection, you are welcome to make the most of visiting the Hotels. We offer amazing staff rates for you and your friends & family can also have a special rate too – just slightly higher than yours!
Discounted Food and Beverage
You can also enjoy a discount when you eat in the restaurants and brasseries. If you are a permanent contracted employee and have completed six months service, you are entitled to: 50% off all food and drink in either the hotel restaurant or brasserie, for up to four people, including yourself, if you are a resident or 30% discount on food and drink as a non-resident.
For permanent, contracted colleagues who have completed six months service, there are great discounts on functions for bookings for 15 people or more. Subject to availability, book a function for yourself, or your immediate family, (i.e. your partner, parents, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters) and you are entitled to a 30% discount off all food and drink on the main account.
Employee Leisure Club Membership:
If your hotel has a leisure club on site, then all permanent contracted full-time and part-time colleagues are entitled to become a member of the Leisure Club completely free of charge.
Family and Friends Leisure Membership
And it’s not just for you, while your family and friends are not entitled to their own preferential rate, when you visit the club you will be allowed to bring one family member or friend with you, as a guest, completely free of charge.
Permanent, contracted full-time and part-time colleagues are entitled to a 20% discount on all beauty treatments, Monday to Thursday. All employees are entitled to a 20% discount on retail items.
Your Time at Work
Meals on Duty - a staff canteen is available to everyone during their breaks. Meals are available free of charge (this excludes Central Support) subject to shift entitlement. Dry Cleaning - any items of your corporate uniform that are marked ‘dry clean only’ will be cleaned free of charge for you.
Recognising Your Commitment
After one year of continuous service, in recognition of your achievement you will be issued with a voucher for 2 people, for a free, 2 night stay including dinner, bed and breakfast, in selected standard hotels or a free 1 night stay including dinner, bed and breakfast, in selected premium hotels.
To thank everyone who has worked for the Company on a permanent basis for five years or more, we celebrate once a year with a special lunch to present Long Service Awards. On the anniversary of your five years’ service and then for each following five year milestone, you will be recognised for your commitment at this special event
Everyone likes to be appreciated and that is where our WOW recognition scheme comes into its own. The scheme gives instant recognition to anyone who goes above and beyond their normal job role. Anyone awarded a WOW voucher, can either exchange this instantly for a reward or save up their vouchers for larger rewards. Everyone - regardless of role or position - can take part in the scheme, both to reward a colleague with a WOW voucher and to be eligible to receive WOW vouchers themselves through nomination by a colleague.
Christmas is a hectic season in hotels, but we make sure that there is time for you to enjoy yourself by inviting you to attend a Christmas party at the hotel or nearby. Most hotels arrange at least one other event in the year, often a summer barbecue or family event, so you can make the most of it and meet up with other colleagues, family and friends
Additional Leave Purchase
Time off from work is as important as the time we spend at work - everyone needs rest and relaxation. At the start of each holiday year you are able to purchase up to five days extra holiday.
Taking Care of Yourself
- Simply Cash Plan from Simplyhealth Simplyhealth, one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers, offers our employees’ special reduced rates on the voluntary health cash plan benefit, the Simply Cash Plan. The Simply Cash Plan gives money back (subject to annual limits) on three important areas of everyday health:
- Check-ups such as dentist and dental hygienist visits and sight tests
- Treatment, such as dental fillings, new glasses, physiotherapy
- Emergencies such as if you need to stay in hospital
The Company has joined the Premium Club at Spec Savers Opticians so that you can enjoy some great benefits. If you’re buying a new pair of glasses? You can save £20 off the £99 range or any other premium range, this saving can also be used with many in-store offers including two-for-one specials. Two members of your family can also join the Premium Club.
