The River Bourne Club is part of The Health Club Collection, a small group of privately owned health clubs. We pride ourselves on the quality of service and exceptional value for money that we provide to our members. An integral part of this offering is assisting our members with their fitness and wellness goals. As such we are seeking a full time In-House Personal Trainer to deliver gym floor shifts, fitness classes and personal training to significantly boost your basic salary.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated; professional; reliable; knowledgeable; and have the ability to both undertake a multitude of pre-scheduled responsibilities on a daily basis, together with delivering Personal Training sessions.  You will be able to work effectively on your own but will relish the inclusion of an outstanding team of colleagues. You will possess a ‘can do’ attitude and exude positivity at all times

The Role:

We are looking to recruit a full time Fitness Professional to be part of our team in helping to make us the number one Community Club in Surrey.  You should possess a good level of fitness knowledge, an interest in delivering Group Exercise classes, an ability to work across a broad client/member spectrum from Juniors to Seniors, along with a great interest in Personal Training to build your own client base.

Delivering a first class service and exceeding customer expectations is key in meeting our CARE ethos and therefore our ideal candidate would:-

  • Hold a minimum of a REPS Level 3 Personal Training Qualification.
  • Be qualified to teach a variety of Group Exercise Classes (including Kettlebells, BoxFit, Circuits and indoor cycling).
  • CRB Cleared in accordance with working with vulnerable groups, including children..
  • Work around a flexible 40 hour weekly rota, to include key areas of operation during mornings, evening and weekends.
  • Be inspiring and motivational to help customers achieve their health and wellness goals through delivery of effective and creative programming and technically correct one to one new member inductions.
  • Have excellent customer service skills in building and maintaining great professional relationships with our members and recognising the need for reprogramming workout plans and supporting individuals through their journeys to achieve their health and fitness goals.
  • Believe in and help promote the Values, Mission and Vision of the Club and Organisation.
  • Consider customer retention at all times through duties outlined by the Fitness Manager that include delivering Fitness Challenges, Junior activities, member contact calls and writing exercise re-programmes.
