Head Chef

 

We are recruiting a Head Chef!

 

As a Head Chef at NWTC, you are the leader of all things food and the champion of delivering delicious food to our guests. You are an expert at kitchen management, ensuring that it is a safe, fun and exciting place to work, whilst being extremely profitable and efficiently run.

Your team will work for you at all times to deliver your vision and strategy within your kitchen. You will oversee everything and actively manage your senior team members, developing them into successful Head Chefs of the future.

Your time should be split evenly between cooking, managing our systems and procedures and developing your team. You will also work closely with the General Manager to advise on Food operations, guest experience and any bookings/events. You will always portray a positive and upbeat attitude in your role, especially around our guests!

 

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure every guest interaction is ultra positive and with the intention of getting them to have a return visit
• Undertake all Sous Chef responsibilities where relevant/needed
• All aspects of running a happy, motivated kitchen
• Deliver excellent financial performance in line with budgets.
• Ensure your kitchen team maintain an impeccable relationship with all other departments
• Deliver all KPI's to company targets
• Actively develop Sous Chefs and Junior Sous Chefs to ensure a succession plan for yourself.
• Ensure development of Future Managers, driven by your Sous Chef.
• Be the lead on all recruitment and talent planning in your department
• Always be H+S and food safety compliant and follow all procedures and policies in every aspect
• Ensure excellent communication with other departments to aid in overall smooth service
• Undertaking any reasonable management requests
• Ensure you have an up to date Talent Pipeline for the whole kitchen with training needs and succession plans in place
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times.
