Spa Maintenance Assistant - The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa

The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa offers a fantastic opportunity to anyone looking to join a rapidly growing business with an ambition to become a significant landmark hotel in the years to come. The 71 bedroom, 4 AA Star Hotel also plays host to a wide array of activities on the 1400 acre estate which includes; our Spa, with state-of-the-art facilities, Shooting Ground (CPSA Premier Plus standard). Falconry Centre, an off road experience, Fly-Fishing on the 24 acre lake or River Aire.

The Huntsman’s Lodge and MacLeod’s restaurant and bar form the heart of the Hotel.

The existing 170 plus Coniston Hotel team are very customer centered and if you pride yourself on delivering excellent customer service then you will fit in well.

The Role

The main aim of the role is to ensure that health & Safety checks are complete and equipment & plant are running correctly.

The main duties of the role are to:

• Conduct pool water testing within defined health & safety guidelines
• Conduct plant room maintenance checks
• Reporting to Senior Spa Maintenance Assistant
• Trained on pool plant
• Daily pool checks,
• covering shifts poolside,
• changeover of hot tubs at holiday rentals
• Covering maintenance at the spa for annual leave
• Working alongside the hotel Maintenance team

Experience of working in a spa is preferred but not essential Full spa training will be given

Ideally candidates will hold a pool plant and lifeguard qualification and hold or be studying for a leisure related NVQ level 2. However, full training will be provided to applicants who are enthusiastic about pursuing a career in the leisure industry.

The successful candidates will need to be able to work at weekends and on public and bank holidays on early and late shifts.
