Why work for us

The Coaching Inn group operates 13 landmark venues with rooms in towns across England and Wales, from Conwy, North Wales, to Richmond in North Yorkshire, to Hungerford in Berkshire, employing over 500 people.

Over the past 12 months, the company has accelerated its growth, ensuring its systems, and, most importantly, it people, are ready to take the business to the next level.

Despite the venues being so far-flung, performance is constantly strong across this high quality, well invested in estate, a testament to the way a small head office team has worked hard to welcome new employees into the Coaching Inn culture. Group CEO, Kevin Charity, is himself a familiar face wherever he goes.

Team members are encouraged to feel they are a part of a wider group and through the ‘SwapInn’ scheme, have the opportunity to spend a week working at a different site, often leading to longer spells elsewhere, and even transferring sites to take up exciting new opportunities.

A big push on reducing employee turnover, including changes to the recruitment process, has seen it fall by over 30% in the last year.

Coaching Inn Group’s overarching goal is called Unlocking Potential, and that includes the potential in its people with training very much focused on an individual’s development needs. Among the workforce, 56 are on apprenticeships, 80 are career progression programmes, and management opportunities are awarded to high performing employees in the group.

The Coaching Inn Group has expansion plans to double the size of the company over the next 2 years, and as much as internal development is fundamental to that, so is discovering exciting, focused and motivated individuals to join the Coaching Inn Family.
