Your exceptional attention to detail and passion for the Convention Centre will ensure that as a Casual Public Area Cleaner you will set impeccable standards and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and immaculate presentation in our guest areas.

This important role calls for an individual who is able to achieve the same consistent standards and outstanding productivity. You will take pride in ensuring that all guest areas achieve the exacting five star standards expected by our guests.

 

As a Casual Public Area Cleaner you will have good levels of English, have an 'eye for detail' and someone who takes pride in their work.

 

Key Duties

·         Complies with PA housekeeping key issuing procedures. Under no circumstances are assigned keys to be given to other personnel or guests

·         Completes the shift cleaning schedules

·         Reports all maintenance requests on know cross or to the immediate senior person on duty, especially all health and safety issues

·         Reports guest complaints, enquiries and requests the immediate senior person on duty

·         Ensures that their allocated area including all lift, lift landing areas, front of house and back-of-house areas are clean, well maintained and kept properly at all times.

·         Ensures that all equipment and furniture are treated with the utmost respect and care at all times.

·         Reports any unruly guest, member of staff or any other unusual occurrences immediately to the Housekeeping Office and/or PA shift leader.

·         Ensures that all Lost and Found property left behind by guests is handed in daily to the immediate senior person on duty /Guest Services together with correct forms. Important documents or valuable items have to be brought to the Shift Leader/Guest Services attention immediately.

·         Adheres to very strict waste disposal in all areas, waste has to be brought down to waste collection area and disposed of correctly in assigned bins, following recycling policy

·         Reports to the immediate senior person on duty all carpets and furniture, which require professional cleaning

·         Performs related duties and special assignments as and when required

·         Informs the immediate senior person of any relevant information
