OVERVIEW
We have commenced the search for a Director of Engineering at the five-star Celtic Manor Resort. The role will cover the leadership of the facilities function for our championship golf courses, estates, hunter lodges, The Manor House, The Celtic Manor Resort itself and the newly opened ICC Wales convention centre.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR …
As Director of Engineering, you will lead a team of over 30 skilled technicians on a day to day basis ensuring 27/7 cover. You will have experience of working in a large hospitality venue or resort or perhaps across multiple properties at a director level.
You will need experience in using processes and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical, Gas, Water & Waste, CHP, BMS, Energy Management, Fire Safety Systems, Lift & Escalators, Pools and associated Building Infrastructure.
As the Director of Facilities, you will drive initiatives, using influencing skills to encourage best practice to achieve the desired results.
You will be engaging, have a key focus on the guest, passionate about keeping our beautiful properties in great condition and you’ll have strong leadership skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO …
You will manage all sub-contractors ensuring all works are carried out as per contractual agreements within agreed time scales and budgets, continually reviewing all performance & costs, re-tendering where necessary.
You will lead a full PPM schedule covering all properties using our management software package to control & monitor all aspects of PPM ensuring full compliance to current legislation.
You will manage all financial aspects of the above including budgeting, invoice control and forecasting - to ensure all parts of the department are managed cost effectively.
There will be a strong requirement to manage energy, waste and contribute to the reducing the environmental impact of the business.
