OVERVIEW 
Are you an experienced Event Operations Director waiting for the opportunity of your career?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR … 
As Event Operations Director you will have a proven ability to achieve and consistently deliver exceptional results with highly developed leadership skills and the ability to motivate, challenge and engage individuals and teams as well as the ability to shape the future and take the team on the journey.  
You will have proven expertise in developing creative solutions to complex and multi-faceted challenges, excellent collaborative skills and the ability to build strong cross organisational relationships whilst being motivated to drive and improve performance to enhance the guest and client experience. 
You will show evidence of leading and managing large-scale projects with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the hospitality or events sector, 5 years within a senior management/leadership role and experience in an organisation that manages complex and multi-faceted events.  
It is essential that you have experience in managing client and event agent relationships and dealing with organisers from both, working with a multi-faceted and complex business. 
In addition, you will have confidence and resilience to overcome complex and demanding challenges and situations, an effective strategic influencer, who is as comfortable doing as they are leading. 
You must have strong organisational and planning skills as well as a logical and considered decision making skills.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO … 
The successful candidate will deliver the operational strategic direction for the Conference and Event team of the Celtic Manor Resort. You will implement and maintain a guest centric culture that delivers a five-star service experience, focusing on exceeding expectations, winning loyalty and making a difference to our guests and people. 
You will be responsible for the Event Operations departments within the Celtic Manor Resort to include Conference and Banqueting, Event Management and Celtic Manor Owned Events and provide the link between the Event Management and Operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of all events within the Celtic Manor Resort.  
You will be the lead role in the planning and implementation of Celtic Manor Owned Events, working with other Divisional Directors, Operational Heads and Departmental Managers to deliver an exceptional calendar of events across the year. Ensuring that such events are delivered on time and within budget limitations.
