Weekend Receptionist - The Belfry

Responsible to: Guest Services Manager, Rooms Divisions Manager

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Weekend Receptionist for the Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

The Resort has been awarded ‘England’s Leading Resort & England’s Best Golf Hotel’ the past two years and ‘Europe’s Best Golf Resort’ 2016. The Belfry is proud of its rich sporting history and heritage, hosting the Ryder Cup four times in 1985, 1989, 1993 & 2002.

Scope of the Role:

As a Weekend Receptionist for The Belfry Hotel & Resort you will make it your number one priority to deliver an outstanding, lasting impression to all guests arriving and Departing the Resort. You will possess excellent customer service skills and identify opportunities to excel on customer experiences. No task will be too big or small when it comes to our guests needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • To ensure the efficient running of reception on a daily basis.
  • To be able to register guests into the hotel and check them out, taking into account the legal requirements and the company credit policy.
  • To issue guests keys ensuring that the hotel policy is adhered to.
  • Be responsible for guest valuables by following the correct safe deposit box procedure.
  • Full understanding of reservation procedure
  • Control a float, ensuring that it remains at the prescribed level and over/under banking any discrepancies.
  • Carry out an audit ensuring that all transactions reconcile with Fidelio.
  • Take all necessary steps to minimise the cause of rebates.
  • Resolve guest complaint/problems and if unable to satisfy the guest refer the complaint/problem to the Shift/Team Leader or Duty/Night Manager.
  • To ensure that the correct fire and evacuation procedures are carried out in the event of an evacuation of the hotel.
  • Carry out other duties that may be necessary from time to time.

 

 

Experience Required:

  • Experience working in a hotel would be preferred but not essential.
