Afternoon Tea Chef - The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield

We are currently accepting applications for an Afternoon Tea Chef to join our talented chef brigade to work with us in our pastry kitchen.

Under the watchful eye of our Head Pastry Chef Dean Cole, Our pastry team cover all sweets that are offered to our guests around all outlets in the resort.  The Belfry offers a vast array of dining options for our guests and kitchens that challenge and develop our teams.

This role offers a 20 Hour contract with straight shifts, fast progression opportunities throughout the resort.

Key duties:

  • Ensuring an effective and efficient kitchen operation including following quality and portion control recipes and garnish requirements as instructed.
  • Ensuring all afternoon teas are served are to a high standard in line with special attention being applied to dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Ensuring all allergen and dietary requirements are adhered to and communicated with food and beverage assistants at point of service.
  • Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food related outlets and areas of responsibility,
  • Ensuring that all food items are stored quickly and efficiently thus avoiding unnecessary quantities being held within the kitchen areas thus utilising all items made with the minimal wastage as possible
  • Ensuring hotel standards and Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.

Experience required and your Training and Development:

  • Experience in a pastry kitchen environment would aid you in the success of your appointment but is not imperative to the success of your application.
  • You will be highly motivated and will possess a good knowledge of food and food hygiene.
  • NVQ level 2 in Food Processing & Cooking (or equivalent).
  • Good communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service are essential.
  • Passionate about the industry and poses an ability to work on own initiative
