Guest Services Assistant - Sutton Coldfield

Overview:

We are currently accepting applications from candidates to join our Guest Services team as a Guest Services Assistant. Our Guest Service Assistants are the first team member the guest sees when they enter into the resort, you will be responsible for meeting and greeting guests at the door and helping the guest to the main reception in a professional and friendly manner.

When in the resort you will tend to our guests needs from taxi bookings to taking luggage around the resort as well as recommending and booking trips to local attractions. Finally you will be the final goodbye to our guests ensuring that our service has been consistent throughout.

Key duties:

  • Meet and greet guests upon their arrival at the Hotel, assisting with luggage where necessary and ensuring first impressions are both professional and friendly.
  • Ensure all Porters carry out their duties to departmental standards on a day to day basis.
  • Store all left luggage, e.g. for early arrivals or late departures, in the porters lodge ensuring it is both tagged and secure.
  • Assist guests with luggage to and from their bedrooms as required, explaining the bedroom facilities and Hotel services as required.
  • To ensure all guests queries and enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently and in a courteous manner.
  • To ensure you are fully conversant with all facilities and services offered within the Hotel and the surrounding area.
  • Ensure the entrance, Reception and lobby areas are clean and tidy at all times.
  • To ensure the Porters Lodge is kept clean, tidy and secure along with the Reception area and main entrance.
     

Experience required and your Training and Development:

  • Experience in a busy hotel would be beneficial to this position but not necessary as full training will be given
  • Good communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service are essential.
  • Passionate about the industry and poses an ability to work on own initiative
  • Customer service courses
