Golf Sales Office Manager - The Belfry

Overview:

We are currently accepting applications from candidates to join our Sales team as Golf Sales Office Manager, The Belfry has been awarded ‘England’s Leading Golf Hotel’ ‘Europe’s Leading Golf Hotel’ and is home to the ‘Top 100 Golf Course and four time Ryder Cup host The Brabazon’ You will be responsible for corporate golf events, golf societies and golf leisure groups. In this role you will be responsible for leading the golf event sales team and taking an active lead in managing the large and high profile golf events.  Experience within both the golf and hotel industry is essential, along with a good understanding of revenue management and pricing.  You will identify opportunities and set targets for your team to work towards and achieve. You will have excellent team management skills and the ability to identify talent and develop them towards their next position ensuring a progression pipeline

Key duties:

  • To meet and exceed client expectations in terms of support, quality and service and to communicate identified client needs effectively.
  • Work with relevant members of the executive team to develop golf sales strategy including packages and pricing.
  • Achieve budgeted revenue and costs
  • Monitor KPIs and take action to ensure these are in line with target / trend.
  • Account manage a defined portfolio of Owned Accounts, both Corporate and Agent, with a minimum revenue potential over £10k per annum,
  • Retain current business levels, secure growth of revenues and drive additional events for The Belfry
  • Successfully manage departmental budget in line with forecast and actual, and investigate variances or deficiencies against budget.

Training and Development:

  • Ensure that the team are suitably qualified and are equipped with the relevant skills and legislative requirements to perform their roles successfully.
  • Ensure that the staff team are fully informed and aware of business objectives and changes via monthly staff meetings and other communication tools.
  • Regularly review (informally and formally) performance and deal with performance issues.
  • Coach and develop departmental management team in order to support succession planning and secure organisational capability.
  • Create a highly motivated and committed professional team
