Manage my team to deliver Warehouse routines in line with the Operating model, ensuring delivery of accurate goods to stores.

Ensure your team are well trained, validated and capable to deliver in their roles, whilst analysing and spotting trends in performance to help continually improve the operation.

Supporting and engaging with the other Warehouse Managers to deliver all warehouse plans and key performance indicators, whilst spotting talent, providing mentoring and developing people for their next role

Use my expertise and knowledge to identify opportunities to engage my colleagues to improve the Warehouse performance.

Deliver all security routines and maintain a legally compliant and safe place to work.

Understanding what is important as a Warehouse Manager, using results and actions from colleagues to improve working practices and maintain a healthy relationship with the team

Ensure availability for customers at all times.


Recruiting the best Managers for my team, selecting those that are naturally great with people.
Co-ordinating and validating skill and behaviour training solutions, ensuring my Managers have the skills to deliver their role. Providing constructive feedback based on observations of interactions with customers/colleagues/suppliers, ensuring my team are inspired to deliver excellent service.
Understanding what is important to my Managers, using 'What Matters To You' and delivering corrective solutions which help my Managers enjoy working for Tesco.
Managing and reviewing my Managers performance, providing open and honest feedback and agreeing Objectives, Personal Development Plans and Next Steps.
Supporting my Managers to attend work, helping them to forward plan for their needs.
Spotting talent, mentoring and developing individuals potential, supporting them to achieve their aspirations and helping Tesco be spoilt for choice for great Managers.
Developing own Operational and Leadership Skills.
Ensure all Tesco and Agency colleagues are well trained, validated and capable to deliver their role.
Analyse and spot trends in Big 6/KPIs in my Distribution Centre, build and deliver warehouse improvement plan to build capability where it is needed most.
Maximises the My Performance process and tools to aid individual performance, productivity and standards.
Use my expertise and knowledge to identify opportunities to improve the Warehouse performance, engaging and supporting my team to deliver these.
Co-ordinate all Warehouse plans, KPIs and resource to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements on all KPIs, whilst achieving our Distribution Centre financial budget.
Champion change, share ideas and experiences to deliver results.
Build the capability of my Managers, making sure they have received the Operational and Leadership training to do their job and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
Coach Managers to lead their teams effectively and make the right decisions to support and improve productivity, accuracy and standards.
Lead my team to deliver end to end Distribution Centre routines and standards in line with the Operating model.
Co-ordinate and effectively forward plan for all seasonal, trade driving and promotional events to maximise sales within
stores by ensuring stock is dispatched and received at the right time.
Collaboratively work with support office and store leads to ensure our Warehouse Operating procedures are best in class and focus on providing our stores with the service they require.
Focus my team to deliver accurate goods to stores, improving store product availability and customer satisfaction.
Ensuring my team deliver safety standards, hygiene standards, maintain the cold chain and food hygiene.
Leading Direct to Depot changes, organising my Managers to deliver and sustain change programmes, achieving optimum product availability for customers.
Leading preventive shrink and security plans for my shift.
Operating collaboratively to achieve the best service for stores across all shifts.
Being the accountable Duty Manager for the shift as part of a rota, making decisions that are right for our customers, colleagues and Tesco.
Leading our store community plan, generating and delivering ideas and encouraging our Warehouse Service teams to do the same.
Leading the resource planning activities so that all hours are worked when and where we need them to effectively service our stores.
Building capability of my Managers knowledge on safety and operational routines in the Distribution Centre and
support them to identify and resolve root causes issues, with sustainable solutions and continual review.
