What is EMS:
EMS stands for Electro Muscular Stimulation. During the workout, all your major muscle groups are brought into controlled contractions, using our EMS technology. This means that we are able to deliver the most effective workout, in just 20 minutes. Sports scientists have been harnessing the power of EMS since the 1960s to deliver highly beneficial results that can be difficult to achieve with conventional training methods.
How does it work:
Before every session, your personal trainer will help you to put on our miha EMS equipment. This comprises an EMS electrode vest, along with additional electrodes targeting your arms, legs and glutes.
During the workout you will work closely alongside industry leading personal trainers, who will combine the use of general training principles and the functioning of the EMS device, to incorporate a transfer of sport and exercise specific movements. The EMS device increases the speed of muscular contractions which is difficult to trigger voluntarily, by sending electrical impulses from the device to your muscles via the electrodes. These impulses mimic the natural messages sent by your brain to your muscles, and causes them to contract simultaneously.
What it's used for:
EMS is a training methodology that has been clinically proven to be both safe and effective. Our members come to us for a variety of reasons, including weight loss, toning up, strength endurance, improved mobility and for the relief of pain. EMS is used widely used across different fields, from elite-level sports, to physiotherapy and medical applications.
