Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager - Stoke Park - Slough
Role Description:
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager to join our award winning Restaurants team.
Role Outline:
As Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager you will:
- To work hand in hand with the line manager to ensure that the day to day operations and standards are achieved and level of service is constant
- To take full control of the department in the absence of the line manager
- To complete weekly rota according to business
- To complete staff time sheets
- To maintain all F&B standards as per current SOP
- To control and manage bookings
- Liaise with Event and Sales Managers on any Corporate or Group booking issues and action accordingly following consultation
- Conduct regular appraisals with direct reports
- Conduct performance or disciplinary related reviews with direct reports as necessary on a timely basis
- Prepare and regularly update Departmental Training Manual
- Attend and participate in weekly Function sheet/Communications Meeting in the absence of your Line Manager
- Attend Monthly Department Heads Meeting in the absence of your Line Manager
- To make a conscious effort to make contact with members and guests, ascertaining there personal requirements and ensuring their personal comfort whilst in the Club
- To invest in your team, training/developing them to their full potential to ensure that guests needs and expectations are met and exceeded at all time
Skills/Experience:
- Supervisory/Assistant Manager experience in a Luxury Hotel Restaurant with multiple rosettes or Michelin stars.
- Demonstrate an ability to creatively and continuously improve methods of Customer Service and internal Operations
- Demonstrate high standards of personal and professional conduct
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Demonstrate organisational skills
- POS experience - Micros preferred
- Experience with Spreadsheets, preferably Excel
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
