Stage Technician - Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre (Gordon Craig Theatre)

40 Hours per week

Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) is a registered charity, one of the UK’s leading ‘leisure trusts’, a community-based and focused Non-Profit Distributing Organisation. We currently work closely in partnership with local authorities in Hertfordshire Bedfordshire and Rutland to manage 18 leisure and cultural facilities across 10 towns.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Stage Technician to work within the Gordon Craig Theatre.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing an efficient and effective service within the backstage and technical functions relating to the Gordon Craig Theatre, Main Hall and Conference area.

What we are looking for:

• You should possess a relevant technical theatre qualification or experience within this area.
• Good communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure.
• It is desirable that you have stage management experience, a diploma or other qualification from a reputable drama college or equivalent and in particular relevant electrical and lighting experience and interest in LX specialities.
