Duty Manager - Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre

39 Hours per week

Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) is a registered charity, one of the UK’s leading ‘leisure trusts’, a community-based and focused Non-Profit Distributing Organisation. We currently work closely in partnership with local authorities in Hertfordshire Bedfordshire and Rutland to manage 18 leisure and cultural facilities across 10 towns.

An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager who is capable of demonstrating the necessary skills and abilities to succeed at management level at Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre. You will work on a rota basis covering the full Centre opening hours.

Responsibilities will include:

• Regular responsibility for the whole centre and to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all customers
• Managing all staff whilst on duty and complete administrative tasks as directed
• Coordinating the housekeeping and maintenance of the site
• Overseeing the organisation of Children’s parties.

What we are looking for:

• You will ideally have experience of working in a wet side leisure facility

• You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent leisure qualification
• You should have one or more of the following: RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operations certificate.
• Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH Supervising Safely would be desirable as this post holder will take a lead on health and safety operations for the site.
