GENERAL MANAGER, Glanwydden, Llandudno

If you love good food, cask beer, quality wine and most importantly people, and love a challenge then you could be the person we are looking for to run The Queens’ Head in Glanwydden, Llandudno.  

The recent addition to our group is in need of someone at the helm to steer her through her next chapter. This award winning and popular pub, is the quintessential Welsh village pub, roaring fires, low ceilings, lots of wood, a really charming sunny garden, friendly locals, and bags of history.

So, we’re looking for a true host to head up the Queen’s Head and build on it’s already solid reputation. We’re preferably looking for someone with some experience in the industry, a shed load of enthusiasm and an ability to get on with anyone and everyone is a must. You’ll have plenty of input into how the place is run, making the pub very much your own; deciding on menus, wines, beers and of course building your team. Alongside enjoying the reward and recognition of getting this right– you’ll also have the challenge and responsibility of running your own business. So, a head for figures, attention to detail and a solid work ethic are going to be essential to succeed in the role.  

SALARY

Salary would be appropriate for the experience & expertise of the successful applicant plus a generous bonus scheme. Typical for an experienced manager would be £32,000 – £35,000 salary with bonus scheme giving the potential to earn £45,000 – £50,000 per annum. Quality bill-free accommodation, is provided on the premises. A contributory pension scheme is also in place.  

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Stange & Co are a family run company of eight pubs and inns, located in North and Mid Wales and over the border on the Wirral. So, you certainly won’t feel like a small cog in a huge machine, you’ll very much be part of the family, we’re all on first name terms, and often putting the world to rights over a pint or two after a management meeting. We’ll be right on hand to assist as and when you need us but we’re happy for our managers to try out new things and put their stamp and style on a pub.
