We currently have a vacancy for a Bartender joining our GONG Bar team.

Located on level 52, GŎNG, our signature bar derives its name from 'dougong' - a unique structural element of interlocking wooden brackets, used in traditional Chinese architecture and also featured in the bar.

The venue's modern Asian design was inspired by the mythical aspect of cinnabar - a mineral that has been used historically to create the 'dragon red' found in the walls of Chinese Imperial Palaces.

With a number of intimate chambers (Cocktail Bar, Champagne Bar and the Swimming Pool), the interior is also reminiscent of the traditional boudoirs of the West.

The dramatic backdrop of London’s skyline makes GŎNG the perfect place for sunset cocktails and late night drinks.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. The successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations

Essential Requirements & Responsibilities

Candidates must have a working knowledge of spirits, mixers and classic cocktails. There are two bars which operate as a cocktail bar and a champagne bar. Presentation and attention to detail are key to ensuring the quality of our beverages.

• Proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organised, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Desirable Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role in a 5 star hotel.
