Job Scope

At Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, the Duty Engineer is responsible for the operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of all Hotel equipment and facilities. He/She will have a full understanding of the Opera ( FIDELIO ) and FCS maintenance reporting system in order to deal effectively and efficiently with all maintenance issues, delighting our guests - both internal and external.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct preventive maintenance work as per agreed schedule
• Carry out engineering maintenance requests
• Inspection of plants, service outlets, and catering equipment
• Monitor and control all M & E Plant, system and equipment of the hotel during the shift period.

Our ideal candidate will have held a similar role, encompassing a breadth and depth of experience within the hospitality sector, specifically with hotels. You always complete your tasks to a high degree and possess excellent communication skills with a positive demeanour. You will enjoy collaborating and partnering with a variety of stakeholders to ensure we succeed as a team.
