Receptionist | Jason Kenny Leisure Centre

Working hours: 37 per week

Salary: £17,364.00 per annum, £9 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Full time Receptionist to work 37 hours per week covering earlies, late’s and weekends between Monday to Sunday at Jason Kenny Leisure Centre, which has an 80+ station gym that’s just had £1m investment, 8 lane 25-metre swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool and workout studio.

Key Purpose of the role:

The key element of the Receptionist`s role is to provide an excellent front of house service for the Leisure Centre members.

Key Duties:

• Greet customers and book lessons and classes using a computerised booking system
• Act as front of house and meet and greet all visitors in the leisure centre
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the reception area
• Ensure that the reception area is clean and ready for use and is maintained in a tidy manner and carry out a variety of cleaning tasks as required
• Account correctly for cash and stock, including daily cash reconciliation and recording
• Actively sell gym memberships
• Process leisure cards
• Operate the lost property procedure ensuring safe keeping of articles

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in a similar working environment is essential
• Customer Service NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in similar field is desirable
• Confident with dealing with members of the public
• Experience of maintaining personal records on IT systems
• Experience of money handling (included credit card transaction and cash)
• Experience of selling products to customers
• IT literate to include Microsoft packages and booking systems
• Good level of education to include Maths and English at standard grades
