Outdoor Activity Leader
Number of avalible positions: 16
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until Oct 2019
Hours: 17 Hours per week with opportunity to work overtime

Holme Pierrepont Country Park, the home of the National Water Sports Centre has excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Life Fitness Gym and marvellous nature trails for cycling and walking, it is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate companies and individuals.
The role as Outdoor Activity Leader is being offered on 17 hour per week fixed term contract until October 2019, with work hours mainly consisting of weekends and school holidays, with significant overtime opportunities available during the latter
Ideally you will have previously worked as activity leader/sports coach/scout-guides-cadet leader or have experience delivering activities or customer service to varied group sizes.
Purpose of Job / Key Objectives
To deliver a variety of activities and sessions across our Outdoor Adventure and Water Adventure Departments, Providing customers with a safe and adventurous experience both on dry land and on the water.
Principal Duties
- Responsible for checking equipment and facilities required for activity sessions
- Responsible for ensuring customer safety
- Responsible for delivering prepared safety briefings and sessions in accordance with the code of practice or governing body guidance.
- To check activity area for debris and rubbish and to assist to keep the site clean and tidy
- To lead by example and set a high level of safety and professionalism
- Providing excellent customer experiences
Experience Level
- Experience of delivering fun memorable customer service to the public
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment

- Good customer care skills
- Maturity and calmness under pressure
- Able to communicate across different methods,
- To work with due regard for his/her personal safety and that of others in the Centre
- To provide a memorable, enjoyable and safe adventure experience to members of the public
