An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join our Leisure Division at Serco who are recruiting for a Wipeout Arena Manager.

 

‘Wipeout Arena’ is a mobile dry-side inflatable activity session, set up and operated in an indoor or outdoor area providing a fun, exciting but safe series of 60 minute on-line bookable slots available to the general public across the Serco Leisure Centre estate.

 

‘Wipeout Arena’ events will operate most weekends and during school holidays weekdays events may also be likely.

 

Overview of the role

 

Reporting to the National Dryside Sports Manager within the Commercial Director’s Team the Wipeout Arena Manager will play a lead role in delivering the commercial expectation of this mobile inflatable project by executing the delivery plan, managing day to day logistics, health and safety, bookings, marketing and maintenance. 

 

As the successful candidate, you will manage at least two Wipeout Arena Crew and have regular contact with facilities, finance, health and safety, marketing and service providers to ensure the product is delivered in line with the standards and expectations of the business and influence opportunities to maximise capacity, utilisation and revenue of Wipeout Arena bookings.

 

‘Wipeout Arena’ team will be required to travel throughout the UK, often at weekends to deliver the bookings and this will require overnight stays.

 

About you

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of delivering leisure initiatives within a commercially focused environment. 

 

  • A demonstrable track record of success in a comparable environment
  • Commercially aware with ability to manage multiple bookings at various stages at once
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence and motivate others
  • Knowledge of legislation on safe use of inflatables desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Good customer service skills and experience of delivering high levels of customer satisfaction

 

 

Experience of operating inflatables such as bouncy castles is desirable but not essential. 

 

Qualification Specification

 

  • Successful candidate will possess 3 A levels grades A-C (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate relevant experience applicable to the leisure industry
  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
