Gymnastics Coach | Sheppey Leisure Complex

Hours: 6 hours per week (Flexible)

Salary: £15 per hour

As part of the Swale Community Leisure Trust, Sheppey Leisure Complex are recruiting for a part time Gymnastics Coach to work 6 hours per week and we can be flexible in regards to the working patterns.

Visitors come from all over the island for a great day out at Sheppey Leisure Complex. Located in the town centre of Sheerness, the whole family can enjoy two swimming pools as well as giant pool inflatables, We also offer a state of the art fitness suite suitable for all abilities and styles of fitness training and a workout studio offering over 20 classes a week.

Key purpose of role:  

To lead with the development and delivery of an exciting new Gymnastics Coaching Programme at Swale Leisure Complex for 4 – 11 year olds in partnership with British Gymnastics.

Key Duties:

• To plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions as specified by the line manager and associated delivery partners.
• To develop coaching sessions that meets Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as set by the Trust.
• To maintain accurate administration records for all sessions in line with the facilities processes and procedures.
• To assist in the organisation and promotion of sport and recreational activities and distribute relevant publicity material.
• To undertake further training as required.
• To comply with and promote equality, health, safety and employee development in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post.

What are we looking for?

• We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within the leisure environment and an understanding of the health benefits of exercising.
• You will also have a good standard of personal presentation, communication and customer service skills.
• It is essential that you hold a level 2 NGB Coaching award (or equivalent) and desirable that you hold a level 3 Coaching award, First Aid and Child protection.
