- Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout.
- Undertake and record temperature checks and ensure high standards of food hygiene are maintained.
- Ensure customers are served promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure financial and cash handling procedures are complied with.
- Prepare food and beverages as necessary in accordance with cafe menus.
- Replenish stocks within the cafe and vending machines.
- Ensure the Company Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and all relevant Food Safety Legislation and smoke free law is complied with.
Specific Requirements
- Hold a Certificate in Food Hygiene or a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety or equivalents are essential
- A BIIAB National Certificate in Licensed Retailing Operations and a CIEH or RIPH Foundation or equivalent
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning, or equivalent is desirable
- Proven experience of working in a similar environment is desirable
- Health & Safety/COSHH awareness/knowledge
- Good communication and customer care skills
- To be able to work as part of a team and be flexible in your approach to the demanding needs of this service
