About

Serco works on behalf of and in partnership with Peterborough City Council in the heart of the city, to transform the quality of local services for our citizens.  We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Business Support Officer in Social Care Commissioning Reporting into the Team Manager you will be responsible for providing business support to the Social Care Commissioning team, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service including all basic administration, diary management and minuting.

It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have previous experience in a similar environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Communicate with and develop good working relationships with a wide and diverse range of people, such as Senior Management, customers, key contacts and members of the public.
• Ability to organise and minute meetings and adhere to tight deadlines. Quick and accurate typing skills are essential as is willingness to learn if not previously experienced.
• Diary Management
• Data recording and collation
• Adhoc administrative tasks including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, attaching documents to in-house electronic system

Skills

• Experience using Microsoft/Google packages
• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Resilient and able to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate at all levels
