Back of House Supervisor - The City, London
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm plus paid overtime
We have an exciting opportunity for a Back of House Supervisor to work for an industry leading contract caterer within a prestigious international law firm based in the heart of the City.
The role will involve the day-to-day running and supervision of Goods Inwards. It is a hands on role, from taking receipt of large quantities of goods to the upkeep of back of house catering stores, as well as supervising a team of kitchen porters and assisting with setting up large events.
You will also be responsible for ordering food and sundry catering stock, recording and processing invoices, taking regular stock checks, maintaining and organising stores.
The ideal applicant should have 2+ years of supervisory experience in a similar environment such as a hotel, contract catering site, or other food industry role. We are looking for someone who is organised, has a great attitude and can work under pressure. A good understanding of food safety and stock management is essential.
Skill Requirements:
- Food Safety qualifications level 2 or 3 beneficial.
- A proven track record of supervising a team within hospitality or the food industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good grasp of stock management
- Strong organisational, time management and customer service skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Excellent IT skills
- Forklift license desirable but not essential

This is a permanent full time position- Monday-Friday,40 hours per week, the standard hours are 8am-4pm but this can vary depending on business demands, you will need to be flexible and able to work some early morning or late evening shifts depending on the business requirements.
This is a demanding and fast paced job and will provide a great platform to further your career in hospitality. We are offering a competitive salary at £25,000 per year.
