• GRADE: £10.58 to £19.17 per hour (dependant upon role undertaken)

Sandwell Leisure Trust is seeking to recruit Casual Sports Coaches to provide coaching on a range of our development, performance and competition programmes. Coaches will be required to support with our Schools Sports Programme, delivering curriculum based PE and extracurricular sports activities within Primary and Secondary Schools across the borough and the Midlands.  This post will include various hours mainly days, Monday to Friday during term time, with opportunities to work all year round.

Coaches must hold either:

• UKCC National Governing Body of Sport coaching certificate (Level 2 or higher, Level 1 coaches may be considered),
• Equivalent qualification such as Level 3 Diploma in PE & School Sport
• Degree in Sports
• Community Activator Coach Level 2

Training and additional qualifications may be offered depending on experience and ability to meet required competencies and skills.

Individuals should have recent experience of coaching children, young people and adults in sport and physical activity, and be able to work during and after school time, and during school holidays as required. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people, interested in sport and physical activity, driven to achieve high levels of performance and willing to travel between schools.
