Health and Safety Officer - Royal Garden Hotel, London

The Royal Garden Hotel is an independently owned, five red star hotel in London with 394 bedrooms, 3 bars, 2 restaurants, extensive conference and events facilities and a health club. The hotel is located on Kensington High Street overlooking Kensington Palace and Hyde Park and has excellent transport links.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. From very early on you will be interacting with senior managers and heads of department so you must be able to communicate confidently, professionally and credibly at all levels.

Under the guidance of our Security Manager and the Assistant Managers you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and protecting health and safety standards within the hotel in accordance with current legislation.

Your duties will include:

  • Reviewing all Health and Safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems
  • Conducting regular audits of all departments to proactively identify where health and safety management practices can be improved
  • Conducting regular fire drills and liaising with the emergency services as necessary regarding the Hotel emergency procedures and fire safety precautions.
  • Liaising with Environmental Health and other enforcement agencies on all food safety matters.
  • Devising and delivering health and safety and food hygiene related training to employees at all levels.

You must be highly organised and demonstrate initiative, possess strong IT skills and be a strong team player.

Ideal applicants will have experience in a role of a similar nature covering Health and Safety for both employees and properties alike.
