Part time Fitness Instructor - Rolls-Royce Leisure Association, Derby

Hours: Averages 20 hours per week over a 2 week rota (Weekdays including early and late shifts)

Hourly Rate: Exceeds National Minimum Wage

Rolls-Royce Fitness Centre requires a highly committed, enthusiastic and motivated Fitness Instructor with excellent communication skills to work within our Fitness Centre. This position is for 8 hours a week averaged over a repeating fortnightly rota. You will be required to work weekend late shifts.

The Fitness Centre is equipped with Technogym equipment, with a full range of cardio-vascular machines, extensive free weights section, power plates, a fitness studio and squash courts.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Opening and closing of facilities
  • Welcoming and interacting with members
  • Teaching classes
  • Showcasing the facilities to new members
  • Maintaining gym standards

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

  • Relevant level 2 or above gym instructor qualification
  • Relevant qualifications to teach a variety of classes
  • First Aid qualification
  • Previous industry experience
  • Experience of creating training programmes, fitness assessments and inductions
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team
  • Must be able to show initiative 
  • Confident and friendly
