Reporting To: The Health Club Manager / Health Club Assistant Manager

Job Type: Permanent Contract - 20 hours per week

Salary: circa £25,580 Pro Rata based on experience

Job Purpose:

The position of Swim Coordinator it’s very important to the club since this role is the main contact to all swimming lessons for our members – adults and juniors. The Swim coordinator will be responsible for completing assessments, term bookings and managing a highly effective team. The person will take pride in their place of work and always look at how the delivery of that service to members can be improved within that environment.

Reporting to the Health Club Assistant Manager / Health Club Manager you will be required to fulfil a variety of roles within the facility throughout a working day. Shift work over the seven days of the week (including weekends).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, coordinate and manage the Health Club swimming lesson programme and swimming instructors
  • Responsible for maximizing the swim timetable, suggesting additional classes and tweaks to current timetable
  • Organize swim crash courses during non-term times
  • Lead on competitive swimming / swim challenges / swim galas
  • Ensure swimming KPI’s are met each term along with all processes being complete to track the financial success of the swim programme
  • Be responsible for the programming of swim lessons in ESP and training of all staff responsible for taking payments and bookings for swim lessons
  • Keep knowledge up to date and always look to develop understanding in other areas of exercise.
  • Ensuring that all child protection and health and safety issues within the workplace are considered and where necessary procedures implemented and enforced.
  • Ensure members, guest and staff, observe club rules and enforce them where necessary.
  • Follow all other procedures that may be arranged so that the facility operates in a safe and functionally
  • efficient manner.
  • Perform reasonable duties as specified by the Health Club Manager, Assistant Health Club Manager, Club General Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Swim England Certificate Level 2 (essential)
  • A current NPLQ or NRASTC
  • Excellent programming skills
  • The ability to connect with our membership and get on exceptionally well with our family members
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Good general IT skills
