Groundsperson - Roehampton Club, London
An opportunity has arisen to be part of Roehampton Club’s Grounds Maintenance Team. The club has been named Sports Club of the Year in 2018 and 2017 and has a reputation for providing some of the best surfaces in Golf, Tennis and Croquet in the country.
The successful candidate would be involved with working in the grounds department which manages 30 grass and artificial tennis surfaces. There are also four grass croquet lawns which are revered as some of the best in the country. The lawns have hosted county, national competitions as well as International competitions. The Club also hosts the Gant Tennis Championships just before Wimbledon.
The successful candidate will report to the Head Groundsman, will be highly motivated and have experience of preparing and maintaining sports surfaces to a very high standard. The use of horticultural machinery, awareness of health & safety is essential. Preferably the candidate would hold an NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Maintenance or equivalent qualification and have prior experience in this field, with the capability of working individually or as part of a team. The Club are looking to employ a good team worker who has excellent communication and customer service skills.

Salary and benefits:
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 based on experience. Working hours 40 hour week plus overtime including weekend working
